RDC Cloud 1.7.2 — Passkeys and a refreshed resource workspace

Protect sign-in and cloud resource deletion with a passkey, map container domains to individual ports, and explore wider, more consistent resource pages.

RDC Cloud 1.7.2 adds optional passkey protection and refreshes resource navigation, domain settings and database connection details.

Protect your account with a passkey

Open Security in RDC Account to register and manage a passkey. Each account can register one passkey, and the registration prompt identifies your account by email.

Once registered, your passkey is required to complete sign-in. Deleting a Container Engine, Redis, PostgreSQL or Artifact Registry resource also requires a fresh passkey check. Canceling that check cancels the deletion.

Accounts without a registered passkey can continue using RDC services. If you skip the enrollment reminder, it stays hidden for three days in that browser across Account, Console and Workbench.

The account page also has a larger profile image, clearer profile fields and status badges.

Explore a wider resource workspace

Resource lists and details now make better use of the available screen width. Container Engine, Memory Database and Relational Database share consistent heading placement, right-aligned actions and compact metrics charts.

Products offer Getting started pages alongside their resource lists. When an initial lookup successfully finds no resources, the product opens its introduction. You can still select the empty list explicitly, and the sidebar remains available.

Moving between a resource list and its details now slides the sidebar menu in the direction of navigation. Switching tabs within a resource does not replay the transition, and reduced-motion preferences are respected.

Container instances now show Health status in the list. Connection and health states use badges, with unknown health highlighted in the danger color.

Route each domain to its own port

Container Engine domains can now target different internal HTTP ports on the same resource. Use this to expose separate application endpoints through separate domains.

Each domain row shows its configuration status and mapped port, with Refresh and Edit actions. Editing reveals the configuration and removal controls. The previous domain and resource import flows have been removed.

Reveal only the connection string you need

Redis and PostgreSQL connection panels now use a consistent layout. Connection strings are masked by default; select the eye icon to reveal an individual string without revealing the others. Separate username, password and database fields have been removed from this panel.

Workbench document improvements

Document windows show the file name and opening state more clearly. Workbench also adds Google Drive integration for opening selected HWP and HWPX documents and saving changes back when the connection is available. Conflicting saves are rejected rather than overwriting a newer version.

Everyday fixes

  • Startup checks finish in the loading screen before Console opens or redirects you to sign in again.
  • Loading and completion animations have been restored, and Cloud Assistant panel motion has been refined.
  • Resource creation choices reflect the regions and plans available to your workspace.
  • Restart and other confirmation dialogs retain their content while closing.
  • Central API connection errors follow the selected Console language.
  • Button loading states and home shortcuts have a more consistent appearance.
