Linkport

Create short links and explore click metrics for your project.

Linkport creates short addresses that redirect visitors to an HTTP or HTTPS destination. Select your project, then open Linkport from the product menu.

  1. Select Create link.
  2. Enter a Name and Destination URL. Optionally add a description and Expires at date in your local time zone.
  3. Keep Enable link selected to allow redirects.
  4. Select Save and wait for Pending sync to change to Active.
  5. Copy the Short URL from the list.

Each address contains five randomly generated, case-sensitive letters or numbers. You cannot choose or change the address. A project can have up to 100 non-deleted links, including disabled and expired links. Deleted addresses are never reused.

Short addresses are public and discoverable. Do not treat an unlisted address as authentication or include credentials in the destination URL. Visitor query parameters are not appended to the destination.

Update or delete

Select Edit link to change the name, destination, description, enabled state or expiry. Leave expiry blank for a link that does not expire. An enabled link's expiry must be in the future.

Changes take effect after synchronization. During Pending sync, the previous configuration may remain active. Delete requires confirmation. Deleted links may remain accessible until synchronization finishes; the list displays the number of deletions still pending. This is not an immediate access-revocation mechanism.

If someone changes the same link while you are editing it, refresh and reopen the link before saving again.

Click metrics

Select a link name to open its detail page. The page shows the short URL, destination, description and status alongside click metrics. Use the period buttons to choose 1, 7, 30 or 90 days. Reports show:

  • Total clicks and a time trend.
  • Detected bot clicks.
  • Top countries, cities, device types and referring sites.

Counts include bots and are not unique visitors. Location and bot detection are estimates. A click means that a redirect request was received, not that the destination finished loading. HEAD requests do not count.

Daily windows use UTC; chart dates are displayed in your local time zone. Long periods group the trend by day. Unknown metadata appears as Unknown; infrequent labels may be grouped as Other. Deleted links are excluded from reports.

Only aggregate statistics are retained for approximately 90 days. Raw IP addresses, full browser user-agent strings and referring URL paths are not stored in these statistics.

While a link is Pending sync, the page displays a waiting message. Keep the page open: metrics load automatically after synchronization completes. If metrics fail to load after synchronization, select Refresh to retry. A failed metrics request is not displayed as zero clicks. Contact support if the issue persists.

Countries, cities, devices and referrers each have a donut chart with click counts and percentages. Each card shows the four leading categories; remaining categories are grouped as Other. Percentages use the total clicks for the selected period. Use Back to list to return to your links.

Permissions

Linkport Viewer allows viewing links and metrics. Linkport Admin also allows creating, editing and deleting links. Workspace or project Viewer roles can read links; Editor, Admin and Owner roles can manage them according to their assigned scope.

If Linkport is unavailable or you cannot access the selected project, contact your workspace administrator or support with the project ID and any displayed error message.

If saving times out, refresh the link list before creating the same link again: the save may have completed even if its response did not arrive. If your access changes while a report is loading, ask your workspace administrator to confirm your current permissions.

Product navigation

The sidebar keeps Getting started and the resource list available. Opening the product first checks the selected project. A successful, complete empty result opens Getting started; existing resources open the list. Errors and loading states stay in place. Selecting the list explicitly keeps it open even when it is empty.

Lists and resource details use the available workspace width. Getting started links to the existing creation or management flow and documentation; existing permissions still apply.
