Equipment records store product identifiers alongside site network settings. Link equipment to customer records so you can quickly review previous installations on return visits.
Add equipment
- Open the customer's details in customer management.
- Select Add equipment.
- Choose the equipment type.
- Enter basic information and type-specific settings.
- Review and save.
The main supported equipment types are:
- Routers
- Wired/wireless routers
- Access points
- L2 switches
- PCs
Basic equipment information
Depending on the equipment type, you can record:
- Equipment name, manufacturer and model
- Serial number
- Installation location and administrator notes
- Installation date and warranty or expiration date
- Site photos and attached images
Enter serial numbers manually or scan a barcode. Before saving, check that the scan matches the actual equipment label.
AI equipment photo analysis
For supported equipment, take a photo or choose one from your album to assist data entry.
- Select the equipment type first.
- Select Analyze with AI or the photo analysis action.
- Take or select a clear photo of the equipment's front or rear label.
- After analysis, review populated fields such as manufacturer, model and serial number.
- Correct any recognition errors before saving.
Analysis may be limited if the equipment in the photo does not match the selected type. AI results assist data entry and must be checked against actual labels and site settings.
Router and IP settings
For routers and network equipment, you can record:
- Network name
- IP address, subnet mask and gateway
- Primary and secondary DNS
- DHCP allocation range
- Static IP device name, MAC address and IP address
When registering static IPs, check for duplicate addresses on the same network.
Wi-Fi and access point settings
For wireless routers and access points, record SSIDs, channels, security modes, passwords and notes. Access points can also have management IPs, management ports and multiple Wi-Fi profiles.
Wi-Fi passwords and administrator credentials are sensitive site information. Manage accounts and devices so only people who need this information for work can access it.
L2 switch settings
For L2 switches, record management IPs and ports, VLANs, port counts, PoE budgets, installation dates and expiration dates. For each port, you can record:
- Port number and label
- Link status, speed and PoE usage
- Untagged and tagged VLANs
- Connected device name, IP address and MAC address
- Uplink status and port notes
PC settings
For PCs, record IPv4 addresses, operating systems, CPUs, memory, storage, installation dates and warranty expiration dates.
View, edit and delete equipment
