Utilities in the Fixo app brings together network and installation tools commonly used during field inspections. Utilities are currently available in the mobile app.
IPv4 calculator
Calculate network addresses and usable IP ranges.
- Select IPv4 calculator in Utilities.
- Enter an IPv4 address such as
192.168.0.10. - Enter a CIDR prefix or subnet mask such as
/24or255.255.255.0. - Select Calculate.
- Review the calculated network address and IP range.
The results assist network design. Before applying them to equipment, check existing DHCP ranges and static IP conflicts.
Ping test
Check ICMP response times and packet loss for an IP address or domain.
- Select Ping test.
- Enter a target IPv4 address or a domain such as
example.com. - Start a standard test to send a limited number of requests at one-second intervals.
- Turn on continuous Ping if you need ongoing checks, and select Stop when finished.
- Review response times, sent and received counts, and packet loss.
No response does not necessarily mean the device is off. Also check whether a firewall or network policy blocks ICMP.
TCP port checker
Check connectivity to a specific TCP port on an IP address or domain.
- Select TCP port checker.
- Enter the target IPv4 address or domain.
- Enter a port number from 1 to 65535 or select one from the common ports list.
- Run the check and review the connection success or failure result.
A failed connection can result from a stopped service, firewall, NAT, access control or an incorrect address.
Level
Check your device's tilt when installing equipment or brackets.
- Select Level.
- Place your phone steadily on a reference surface.
- If needed, select Calibrate zero to use the current surface as a reference.
- Check the displayed angle and level status.
Phone cases, camera bumps and sensor errors can affect readings. Verify precision installations with a dedicated measuring tool.
Barcode and QR scanner
- Select Barcode & QR scanner.
- Grant camera permission if this is your first use.
- Position the barcode or QR code inside the on-screen frame.
- Check the recognized value.
If you denied camera permission, select Open settings on the information screen to change it in device settings. Before opening an unfamiliar QR code link, check its address and source.
